A message from Edmonton Startup Week:

Edmonton Startup Week begins Oct. 5 and runs through Oct. 9, with dozens of events to help you learn, meet people, and explore the city's startup community. Whether you're building a company, investing, studying, or simply curious, now is the time to plan your week.

Start with the Edmonton Startup Week calendar. You'll find workshops, panels, showcases, social gatherings, and much more. Pick sessions that match your interests, but consider leaving room for something unexpected! New events are still being added, so check back regularly.

The Edmonton Startup Week Kickoff on Oct. 5 offers an introduction to this year's Top 10 companies. Doors open at 4pm at Edmonton Unlimited, with the formal program and company showcase starting just after 5pm. Hear directly from the founders about what they're building, then stay for the reception and networking.

Save Thursday evening for Launch Party, the week's flagship celebration. On Oct. 8, Edmonton Unlimited will host a gathering that extends into the neighbouring green space, with a DJ, live music, barbecue, and cooking stations. It's a chance to celebrate the Top 10 startups, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet the people working to grow Edmonton's startup ecosystem. There's no dress code, but denim, overalls, and other farm-inspired outfits match the evening's theme given that this year, Launch Party falls during Canadian Finals Rodeo and CFR Week.

There are plenty of exciting daytime events to consider throughout the week. Built World Tech: Pilots in Action on Oct. 6 lets you explore 12 pilot projects testing local technology in construction and infrastructure. Deep Tech Day on Oct. 7 brings founders, investors, and industry leaders together to discuss customers, commercialization, growth, and investment. On Oct. 9, Student Founders: Ones to Watch puts emerging entrepreneurs on stage for three-minute pitches.

Many events take place at Edmonton Unlimited, but be sure to check each listing for the location, schedule, and ticket details. Some events require host approval or have waitlists, so plan ahead. Visit the calendar on Luma for the full listing of events, and check out the Edmonton Startup Week website for more information.
